The project of supplying woodworking machinery to the Lao Ministry of Education is invested by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) capital, implemented by Tecotec and VTD is selected as the distribution partner. This is the first project of the VTD team when it is determined to bring the European standard woodworking machine line of Felder brand (Austria) to Vietnam, so it is really a memorable experience and achievement on the development journey of VTD.
With a long-term vision and orientation to develop more distribution products, VTD’s management decided to choose the distribution segment of Woodworking Equipment to become one of the key business areas of the company. Accordingly, VTD has researched and researched reputable production brands that meet European high standards and selected Felder for cooperation. And with the goal of mastering technology to be more proactive in introducing Felder woodworking machines to customers as well as being ready to support and handle technical problems related to products, VTD has sent technical staff to participate in source training at Felder’s factory.
Thus, with a ready mind, when receiving project information from its partner Tecotec, VTD cooperated with Felder’s experts to support Tecotec to the fullest when implementing the project of providing equipment for the Lao Ministry of Education. In addition to providing woodworking equipment according to the required equipment list, VTD is also committed to helping the Lao Ministry of Education organize training and supervise the installation of equipment free of charge. And during the project implementation, VTD’s team has provided active technical advice and support for customers to trust and feel secure when choosing the Felder woodworking machinery product line from VTD.
To fulfill their commitment, on July 28 – 31, 2013 in Vientian, Laos, VTD’s engineers organized training on how to operate Felder woodworking machines for more than 30 vocational trainers. carpentry of 06 vocational schools under the management of the Lao Ministry of Education.
The content of the training process includes introduction to Felder manufacturer, operating safety instructions, instructions for aligning machines according to Felder’s technical standards, operating instructions for each type of machine such as saws, circular saws, drills, milling machines, planers, etc.
During the training, the trainees saw first-hand the outstanding features and excellent quality of the Felder woodworking machine. They also see the quality of the wood products after being processed. Therefore, Felder’s woodworking equipment and VTD’s team are highly appreciated by students in all aspects both in terms of equipment and technical services.
The project of supplying woodworking machinery to the Lao Ministry of Education has been successfully implemented by VTD, helping lecturers of vocational schools in Laos update European standard technology and equipment, contributing to improving skills and techniques for the wood processing industry in Laos. This is also a proud success, proving the capacity of VTD team, confidently becoming the exclusive distribution partner of Felder brand in Vietnam.
